ガオ先生は、応用言語学の分野、特に英語教育における教員養成・アイデンティティー形成、英語・日本語学習者の自立性・動機付け、言語政策とメディアなど幅広い研究領域においてご活躍されております。本ワークショップでは、英語媒体の学術誌において多くの業績を残されているガオ先生から直接学術に投稿する際のアドバイスを学べるまたとない機会です。ふるってご参加ください。（参加費無料、事前申込不要）

ワークショップ要旨：
Drawing my recent experiences as a manuscript reviewer and journal editor, I shall focus on the challenges that authors need to cope with in writing for scholarly journal publication. Since most journals are overwhelmed with submissions, they have increasingly adopted rigorous in house initial screening of manuscripts. In many journals, more than half the submissions will be rejected without review. Therefore, it is important for authors to take measures to survive this initial screening. In this workshop, I shall share some of the strategic responses that could be adopted to persuade editors in dealing with the aforementioned challenges, including writing informative abstracts and convincing introductions.
