Master's students do not need to decide a supervisor before admission. After admission, students submit their preferred supervisor (including one second choice) by a set date, usually the end of June. You may seek help from your advisor in choosing a supervisor, if needed. Supervisor selection will be handled based on student preference as submitted, and is usually fixed in July.
Doctoral students designate a supervisor at the time of application, and they will begin studying under that supervisor on admission.
Students who find that they must change supervisors due to unforeseen circumstances must get approval from their new and old supervisors, and notify the academic affairs office of change of supervisor.
