Support for graduate student job hunting from the Career Support Committee:

The Career Support Committee offers the following activities to help ensure smooth and successful job hunting for IMCTS students.

Running and offering feedback on the CPS-J

The Career Support Committee offers the Career Planning Survey - Japanese Version, with post-exam feedback, for students who are hunting for jobs. The CPS-J is a globally used survey that helps assess individual aptitude for particular occupations.

Overview of the CPS-J

This test (in Japanese) includes an Interest Survey to see what occupational fields students might be interested in, and an Ability Self-Assessment Survey to measure what skills students believe they have. The results link interests and abilities to occupations grouped into 23 classes to offer concrete guidance when looking for a career.

Introductions and Mediation with Companies Interested in Hiring IMCTS graduate Students

Many companies in and outside of Hokkaido are interested in recruiting our graduate students. Every year, the Career Support Committee receives inquiries about the job-hunting status and intents of our students, as well as job opening announcements from companies. The committee is also actively involved in job hunting support activities, including informing students about companies that are interested in hiring students, and offering recommendations for students to companies.
