The Assistant Professors at ICMTS are graduates of the school, and serve as mentors to current students. As former graduate students themselves, they have gathered a reputation for speaking from experience to offer guidance. They are also young scientists and carry out the following duties while serving as assistant professors.

1. Student Network Support

Every desk in the graduate student rooms is outfitted with a network cable for direct access to the internet through the campus network. Assistant Professors are always ready to assist students with setting up their PCs, using the network and printers, and other technical support.

2. Counseling on Research Plans, Research Materials, Report Writing, and Other Academic Matters

Graduate students have advisers and supervisors, but some issues with research or report writing can be difficult to bring up with staff, and in that situation it can be easier to consult with a more accessible assistant professor. This can be especially useful when the AP specializes in a similar topic.

3. Counseling on General Campus Life

Assistant Professors, as experienced students in the university, can also be comforting presences when it comes to student life. Since they are often more familiar faces than the official university counseling service, they can provide lots of support for many graduate students.
