1.Enrollment Fee Waivers & Deferment

We have programs offering exemption to all or half of the enrollment fees, or to defer their payment, for students who have trouble paying for the following reasons:

  1. Students with recognized excellent academic records who would find paying their enrollment fees before the deadline a difficult burden for financial reasons.
  2. When the person who would normally bear the school expenses has died, or the student or person who bears the school expenses has been the victim of a natural disaster such as wind, flood, or other calamity within one year before enrollment, and thus find it extremely difficult to pay the enrollment fees (for deferment, only that it would be difficult to pay by the due date).

If you fall into one of the above categories and wish to apply, please submit the necessary documents to the enrollment office at the time of admission.

2.Tuition Waivers

We have programs offering exemption to all or half of the tuition fees, or to defer their payment, for students who have trouble paying for the following reasons:

  • Students with recognized excellent academic records who would find paying their tuition a difficult burden for financial reasons.
  • When the person who would normally bear the school expenses has died, or the student or person who bears the school expenses has been the victim of a natural disaster such as wind, flood, or other calamity within six months of the start of each term (within one year before enrollment for new enrollees), and thus find it extremely difficult to pay tuition fees.

3.Financial Aid, Scholarships, Etc.

IMCTS handles financial aid from various private and local governmental organizations, including the Japan Student Services Organization. Financial aid money is lent or given to students who demonstrate excellent character and academic achievement, who are in good health, and who are recognized as having difficulty in paying their school expenses. The number of scholarship students is limited. Depending on the type of aid given, the money may be a loan which must be repaid after graduation, or may be a true scholarship that does not need to be repaid.
